Nerve Block

Peripheral Nerve Blocks as well as Sympathetic Nerve Blocks and/or Stellate Ganglion Blocks are routinely performed in the outpatient office and/or hospital setting.

In this procedure the physician injects a local anesthetic with or without a steriod preparation in the immediate vicinity of the peripheral nerve with the purpose of alleviating and/or resolving the patient's pain.

This procedure is almost always performed as part of a comprehensive pain management program.
